Year 1 Events

Summer Term:

Class 4 Inspire:  The children in class 4 enjoyed spending time with their parents and family members during our inspire morning.  We enjoyed completing art, geography, writing, phonics and maths activities around the theme of 'Under the Sea'.

Spring Term:

Easter Bonnet Parade- The children in Classes 3 and 4 created their own bonnets before parading them around the playground in front of parents.

Year 1 celebrated World Book Day 2024 by either dressing up as their favourite character or wearing pyjamas. The children also wrote their own story inspired by local author, Mike Brownlow.

Phonics Screening Information Session

As promised, here are the notes from our information session. You will find key dates and information, as well as some useful links.

The children were tasked with creating some model houses based on the houses from the time period of the Great Fire of London, they have absolutely blown us away with their creativity!

Autumn Term 2023/2024:

Nativity- A Huge well done to all of the Year 1 children for their fantastic effort in the Christmas Productions. Every single child excelled and put on a great show!
