Christopher was appointed as a Foundation Governor in February 2017. He gained a Law degree from Sheffield University before qualifying as a solicitor. He practised as a Partner in a firm of solicitors for 21 years, primarily in non-contentious property and private client work, whilst also developing a keen interest in promoting practice standards and accreditation. This led eventually to a career move into legal regulation in compliance, educational and representative roles. He has previous experience of school governance, including 7 years as Governor of a County Primary School in Essex, chairing its Pupil Matters Committee responsible for pupil welfare and, ultimately, the full Governing Body. Married with one son, he previously worshipped at All Saints Rayne where he was a member of the PCC and a Churchwarden. He now belongs to St. John’s Yeovil where he is actively involved in one of its Fellowship Groups and has been an 11-14s group leader and part of its Music Group.
Sam has been a Foundation Governor since March 2017. She started her career working within the private sector at a local firm of Solicitors where she studied and qualified as a Legal Executive. Looking to widen her legal expertise and to obtain experience working within the public sector, she later joined the NHS in 2008 to work within the Corporate Governance and Legal Department at the Somerset Primary Care Trust. Since joining the NHS, Sam has held various roles specialising in Corporate Governance, Information Governance and Clinical Governance and is currently the Trust Risk Manager and Data Protection Officer at Yeovil District Hospital. She has two children currently attending Holy Trinity School.
Melodie Andrews is a Foundation Governor. She was born in Windsor, Berkshire and educated at Slough High School. She worked in the West Dorset Health Service Accounts Department for seven years before owning and running three businesses in the Dorset area with her late husband and latterly with her son. She is a mother to four and Grandma to eleven. Four of her grandchildren attended Holy Trinity School. She is currently a Church Warden at St.James Church, Preston Plucknett, Yeovil
Stacy was appointed as a Foundation Governor in November 2019. She graduated in Business Management from Bournemouth University in 2006 and more recently with a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) in 2011. For nearly 15 years, Stacy has held a number of roles in public sector organisations specialising in contracting, performance and transformation and is now part of the local hospital senior leadership team. Within this role, she is responsible for driving and sustaining performance improvements as well as leading efficiency, integration and enhanced productivity initiatives. Outside of work and being a School Governor, Stacy lives with her husband and 2 daughters and their weekends are often spent discovering new walks with the family’s dog.
Olly was appointed as a parent governor in December 2019. After studying Business with Bournemouth University, he moved into sales, progressing to sales manager, where he managed a small team. After 5 years, he moved into the public sector to work for the Environment Agency as a hydrologist. He progressed within the organisation and is now a technical lead nationally. He also sits on the British Standards Council for hydrological methods working with other international specialists in writing papers and international standards. Within the Environment Agency, he has spent a large proportion of time in project and assurance management. Olly has 3 children who currently attend Holy Trinity.
Rev’d Dan was appointed as a Foundation Governor in May 2022, shortly after arriving as the vicar of Holy Trinity Church and Community Centre Yeovil and St. Mary Magdalene Barwick. Before moving to Yeovil. Dan was vicar in Highbridge near Burnham-on-Sea and, prior to this, he was a Youth Worker for 11 years in Keynsham, a town between Bristol and Bath. Dan loves meeting people and is passionate about encouraging everyone to see the relevance of the Christian faith in a world that has largely rejected it. Dan is also, unsurprisingly, eager to show the difference a relationship with Jesus can make to our lives. Outside of his role as vicar and governor, Dan enjoys watching sport, particularly football and cricket. He is a Manchester United fan, enjoys reading and has a deep love of single malt whisky which he likes to enjoy with others. Dan is married to Sarah and they have two daughters, the eldest of whom attends Holy Trinity School.
Toby Hann
Toby joined the British Army from college as a Mechanical Aircraft Engineer and subsequently did operational tours of Iraq and Afghanistan, plus multiple overseas and UK exercises, servicing the Lynx helicopters and UAS. Halfway through his military career, he did an exchange and ultimately a full transfer to the Royal Navy, completing numerous deployments to the Gulf, Mediterranean and Caribbean. His military career culminated as the Wildcat Flight Test Engineer. His military service was cut short due to a severe sporting injury. After the Forces, he became a Systems Engineering Consultant, initially in the Civil Service and then into the private sector, where he supports and advises senior MOD personnel on bringing new capabilities into the service on life cycle and safety. Toby has 2 children, with the eldest in Holy Trinity.
Dan Morgan
Dan was appointed as a Parent Governor in June 2024 and joins the LGC with experience of working in Education. Dan is currently Curriculum Leader of Creativity & Culture at Stanchester Academy, where he has worked since moving to the area with his wife and children from Worcester in the Midlands. Dan has been a Drama teacher for 12 years, and before that worked for an Applied Theatre Company. Dan has three children, with the middle one being a student at Holy Trinity. Dan is a keen Star Wars and Liverpool FC fan, enjoys reading, theatre and films, as well as badminton, swimming and his camper van. He is looking forward to being in a position to support the School as a brand-new Governor.
