Writer of the week
Our first Writers of the Week for our new website:
November 2025:
Class 10:
Ava: for paying attention to her personal targets (a range of subordination, prepositions, speech punctuation and apostrophe of possessions) in her short burst narrative.

Class 13: Eleanor for an interesting explanation using semi-colons and colons accurately.


Class 3: Sofia for working really hard on her Gruffalo description. She paid close attention to full stops and capital letters and recalled the key physical features of the Gruffalo really well.

Class 12: Evie: for applying everything she has learnt from the unit and presenting her work outstandingly in her final write.
October 2025:
Class 6: Chloe for an excellent innovated poem based on Roger McGough's Sound Collector.

Class 12:
Ethan: for applying his speech to advance the action accurately.

Bea: for applying speech and being thoughtful about her character's accent.

Class 7:
Alex: for great ideas and persevering with his writing.

Ivy: for using some wonderful similes to describe a setting.

Emelia: for coming up with some great ideas and working hard to join her handwriting.

September 2025:
Class 10:
Arabella: for her work in using homophones correctly through her narrative piece of writing.
Class 12:
Thomas: for applying his use of excellent language and punctuation to create a fabulous piece of writing!

Class 14:
Alan: for excellent use of punctuation

Ella: for beautiful description and excellent use of different sentence types.

Grayson: for amazing choice of vocabulary


Daisy: for excellent description
