May: Hockey
Some Year 4s, 5s and 6s participated in a Primary School Hockey Competition at Mudford Rec. Each played showed great skill, determination and teamwork together, even though they had not played as a team before. In the first round, they won 2, lost 2 and drew 1 which split them into their division. They talked tactics, used each other well and spread out across the pitch rather than all chasing the ball or leaving it to one person.
They played 7 matches in total, with only a few breaks so they were quite tired towards the end but this did not stop them!
In the division games, they won every single match meaning they won out of all 5 teams in their division! A great success and I'm very proud of each and every one of them.
Monday 9th March - Netball Tournament
Holy Trinity took part in an action‑packed Netball tournament this week, facing every school in a round‑robin format with no semi‑finals or finals. This meant every goal mattered - and it certainly came down to the finest of margins!
Holy Trinity made a strong start, opening the tournament with an impressive 6–1 win against Oaklands. The team showed excellent movement on court and confident shooting, setting a positive tone for the day.
Their momentum continued into the next fixtures. Against Huis, Holy Trinity kept up the pressure with a solid defensive display, securing a 4–0 victory. This was followed by another convincing performance versus Milford, where the team once again triumphed 4–0, demonstrating great teamwork and consistency.
The final match of the tournament proved to be the toughest challenge. The opposition pushed Holy Trinity all the way in a closely contested game. After a tense seven minutes, the match ended in a 2–2 draw, with both teams battling hard for every ball.
With the round‑robin complete, the overall winner came down to total goals scored. In an incredibly tight finish, Holy Trinity were crowned tournament champions — winning by just one goal!
A fantastic achievement and a testament to the team’s determination, skill, and resilience throughout the day. Well done to all the players on an outstanding performance!

13th November: Year 5-6 Football
Well done to the Year 5-6 Football team who competed in the Yeovil qualifiers for the County Finals.
After only conceding one goal the entire tournament, they lost their only game in the semi-final 1-0 to finish third (after a 3rd-4th play-off).
We are incredibly proud, but disappointed to just miss out on automatic qualification; the team are first reserves for the finals if any other teams withdraw from the tournament.

13th October: Year 3-4 Football.
Well done to the year 3-4 football team who played this week, winning three and drawing two games.

9th October: Year 6 Netball Tournament
Holy Trinity attended their first Year 6 tournament of the year — and returned as Champions! The team worked fantastically together, improving with every game. They showed excellent spatial awareness and made smart plays around the D to help position the shooters more effectively.
There was some outstanding defending throughout, with only 3 goals conceded across 7 games (including 2 friendlies).

- Holy Trinity 2 – Countess Gytha 1

The final began as a tight contest, but once the first goal was scored, the team’s momentum built quickly. They played brilliantly as a unit, supporting each other with advice and encouragement throughout.
